One of the inspirers of the Spectrum of Grace ministry
Dmitry Gladkov is a minister with almost thirty years of experience, including twelve years of pastoral ministry in a local congregation. At Spectrum of Grace he helps shape the educational focus devoted to the Jewish roots of the Christian faith and a deep understanding of Scripture.
His interest in this subject took shape about twenty years ago, after his studies at a Christian university. Since then, studying the Jewish context of Scripture has become an important part of his life and ministry. Personal contact with and learning from well-known Russian-speaking rabbis allowed him to become acquainted with the Jewish tradition of reading the biblical texts and to broaden his understanding of the foundations of the Christian faith.
Dmitry is also one of the organisers and curators of the online educational project “12 na 70 — House of Learning”. His work aims to make in-depth study of Scripture accessible, to help people reflect on their faith and to foster dialogue between Christians and representatives of the Jewish tradition.
At the heart of his approach are careful attention to the text, respect for the Jewish heritage and the conviction that getting to know the roots of faith enriches both personal understanding and the life of existing congregations.
